- 4.0 out of 5 stars from Melanie Rojas -- The perfect seasonal children's book : Perfect for autumn, this picture book is very straightforward in its messaging of doing good deeds and good deeds will be done onto you. But less straightforward are themes of judging actions rather than words, or even challenging some gender norms! I really enjoyed those elements. The art is sharp and drawn in panels as if reading a comic, which gave it a fresh feel. The characters are expressive and well designed. There are moments of silence in this picture book that are well deserved and let you just admire the art. I also appreciated that. The season is a character (in a roundabout way, not literally) in this book so If you are looking for that seasonal feel, this is your book. ( Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2021 )
